What the resident portal is
The Urbero resident portal is a free service that lets you see information about your lease, report maintenance issues, receive documents, and message your building’s management team. It is provided to you on behalf of your building’s management company or brokerage — they are our customer, and they control the records shown in the portal. Urbero is operated by Odd Pair Ventures LLC, a New York company. These terms are between you and us and cover your use of the portal; they do not change your lease.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time link sent to the email address your management team has on file — there is no password. Anyone with access to your email inbox could request a sign-in link, so keep your email account secure, and let us or your management team know if your email address changes or you suspect unauthorized access.
Your lease and your data
Your lease is between you and your landlord; the portal displays records your management team keeps, and Urbero does not guarantee their accuracy or act as your landlord, broker, or agent. If something looks wrong — a rent amount, a date, a name — tell your management team; they are the ones who can correct it. How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, including what to do if you want records corrected or deleted.
Acceptable use
Use the portal only for your own tenancy and lawful purposes. Don’t attempt to access anyone else’s records, probe or disrupt the service, or submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or knowingly false.
Email and text messages
The portal and your management team may send you service emails — sign-in links, documents, lease notices, and replies to your messages. Every non-essential email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops those emails immediately (you may still receive messages required for your tenancy, such as sign-in links you request). If you are ever asked to opt in to text messages and do so, you consent to receive service texts at the number you provide; message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, you can reply STOP at any time to stop and HELP for help. Your mobile number and opt-in information are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing purposes.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The portal is provided free of charge, “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Odd Pair Ventures LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the portal, and our total liability to you relating to the portal is capped at $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your rights as a tenant under your lease or New York law.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms — the date above always reflects the current version, and we’ll give notice in the portal for material changes. Your access to the portal follows your tenancy and your management team’s use of Urbero; either can end it. These terms are governed by New York law.
